Judith Beeby’s paintings are created by manipulating the flow of gloss and watercolour paint and are inspired by aerial photographs of the earth. These works are made by using gravity and the laws of physics to dictate the paint’s movement, causing the paint to twist, dissipate and blend. The final painting is determined by various factors such as temperature, chemical reaction, the viscosity of the fluid and it resembles nature because it is created by the laws of nature. They are paintings of nature and by nature, landscapes of a fantasy world.
